Yesterday, August 9th, Jimmy Choo opened a store in New York’s West Village. The Bleecker Street boutique is the third to join the Jimmy Choo family in New York City, with Madison Ave. and Fifth Avenue locations already booming with business.
The store does not carry the new line of men’s shoes but purses, shoes, leather goods, fragrances, belts, sunglasses and Jimmy Choo accessories can all be found at the new location.
The store resembles a boudoir from the forties with crystal chandeliers, mirrored tables, and retro tufted couches. Colors such as beige, sand, ivory, pale rose, and lilac are used to make the boutique warm and inviting. Jimmy Choo will make a great addition to Bleecker Street and should be a successful and popular retail outlet for the brand.
Personally I love this area. The new Jimmy Choo boutique is near Bookmarc, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Magnolia Bakery, M.A.C. Cosmetics, Steve Madden, and the Juicy Couture store, among others. The West Village is a perfect shopping location for a relaxed shopping experience. There is not as much foot traffic as Times Square, Fifth Avenue, or Union Square. Bleecker Street also offers a quaint and intimate experience that will make anyone feel like a million bucks. The new Jimmy Choo boutique will fit right in with the rest of the luxury stores on Bleecker Street.
Grab a bite at Magnolias or my favorite little brunch spot, August, before heading to 407 Bleecker Street to check out Jimmy Choo’s newest merchandise. With the fall line consisting of cut-out boots, fur purses, and animal print accents on clutches and pumps, you can’t go wrong!
